FISHER, Orin E. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Orin E. Fisher, 88, died Friday night in the Westbrook Nursing Home where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been in failing health about 10 years and semi-invalid the past three years. Mr. Fisher was the father of Mrs. William M. Daseke of Crawfordsville. He was born Oct. 29, 1874 in Byhalia, Ohio, son of Jessie and Mary Jane Moody Fisher. He was married March 20, 1901 in Byhalia to Gertrude Mae Fish. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary last March. Mr. Fisher was a retired rose-grower. He resided in Celina, Ohio until he was brought to the nursing home here. Prior to this he farmed for 12 years near Byhalia. He was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church at Celina. Survivors include the daughter who lives her; his wife, who is making her home with a son, Leon J. Fisher of Wheeling, W. Va., after a recent operation; the son; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers. The body will be taken to the Vale & Stein Funeral Home at Celina where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Robert E. Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery at Byhalia. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday.
